Alice: Wonderland Solitaire is a charming twist on classic Klondike solitaire, bringing the strange and wonderful world of Wonderland to the card table. Instead of simply clearing the deal, every card you send to a Foundation pile helps wear down the stubbornness of the character you're facing. Complete a suit to make your opponent soften, then clear the deal to finish the encounter.
Fifteen familiar characters await, each with their own story before you meet them, from the White Rabbit and Caterpillar to the Cheshire Cat, Mad Hatter, Gryphon, Jabberwock, and finally the Queen of Hearts. The core rules follow traditional Klondike. Your goal is to build four Foundation piles, one for each suit, starting with the Ace and continuing upward to the King.
On the table, seven columns form the main playing area, where cards are placed in descending order while alternating colors. For example, a black six can be placed onto a red seven. You can also drag an entire correctly arranged sequence at once, making it easier to reorganize the tableau and uncover hidden cards.
Empty columns normally accept only a King, but your abilities can change the rules. The Rabbit Hole skill allows any card to claim an empty column, giving you much more freedom when arranging the tableau. The face-down deck provides cards for the waste pile, and when the deck runs out, you can click it again to recycle the cards and make another pass. You can drag cards with your mouse or finger, while right-clicking a top card automatically sends it to the Foundation when a valid move is available.
Progression adds another layer of strategy to every solitaire game. Every card successfully placed in a Foundation earns XP, and gaining enough XP raises your level and awards a skill point. You can spend these points across nine skills divided into three branches: Path of Curiosity changes the rules of the deal, Path of Valour makes cards more valuable, and Path of Wisdom helps you level up faster. Skills within each branch unlock in order, encouraging you to develop your preferred play style.
