Zombie Defense is a modern evolution of the classic tower defense formula, set in a harsh, post-apocalyptic world where humanity is on the brink of extinction. Each zombie wave comes with unique characteristics, slow walkers, fast sprinters, armored mutants, and horrifying special types, so no two encounters feel the same. Learning enemy patterns and using the terrain to your advantage becomes essential for survival.
Progression plays a central role in strengthening your squad and upgrading your defenses. Cash and energy earned during missions allow you to unlock more powerful weapons, such as shotguns, rifles, and rocket launchers, alongside sturdier barricades and high-impact turrets. Investing wisely in upgrades helps you prepare for late-game hordes, where a single breach can end the mission. Balancing offense, defense, and resource management becomes a constant strategic challenge.
To succeed, players must observe enemy paths, adjust troop formations, and combine multiple defensive layers. Smart positioning of traps, forward-placed defenses, and well-timed troop movements can dramatically extend your survival time. Environmental objects like cars, debris, or narrow alleys can also be used as natural barriers, creating efficient choke points that slow or redirect incoming zombies.
