The action of the movie is set around Quasimodo, a boy who was raised by Frollo, the same man that killed his gypsy mom while trying to escape from his and his man with him when he was just a baby. Frollo was caught by the cathedral’s Notre Dame archdeacon who is accusing him for murder, so he decided to raise Quasimodo as his own son and atone for the sins that he has. After twenty year Quasimodo becomes a kind and isolated young boy who has lived in the bell tower of the cathedral his entire life. His only friend are some living stones gargolyles who go by the names of Hugo, Laverne and Victor Once day he desided to go our and attend the Festival known as Festival of Fools even though Follo warned him not to go because he will be beaten or shunned for the deformity that he has since he was born, for being hunchback. After he goes to that festival he is find by the man of Frollo who were staring a riot and humiliate him in front of everyone. Frollo was there but he was just looking like him as he would not know who he was. Luckly for Quasimodo there was a young gypsy girl named Esmeralda who steps in and defends him. Esmeralda also uses a magic trick to run from arrest and she follows Quasimodo into the cathedral. They become great friends and Quasimodo will defend her against everyone who would want to hurt her, just like she does with those who want to hurt him.
