All the action of the movie takes place in Ancient Japan where the main characters lives with his mother in a cave which is located on the top of a mountain. Every day Kubo goes into the village where he likes to tell great stories of warriors . His mother always tells him to come home before dark because then is where her sisters, who are his aunts and his grandfather will come looking for him and try to take his other eye, just like they did with the left one in order to steal his strength. Unfortunately one day he remains after dark and he is found by one of his aunts. His mother comes to protect him and so she sends him far away from the village to find his father’s armour, a magical armour that will help him defend against his aunts and grandfather. Kubo settles on a great adventure to fight against his evil family and revenge his mom who was killed while trying to protect him from her sister.
