Builder is a physics-based construction game in which players design and assemble metal structures using a system of beams and nodes. The core mechanic focuses on understanding how individual components interact to form a stable and functional structure. Every beam must be carefully placed, as each connection contributes to the overall integrity of the build.

The primary building elements in Builder are metal beams that connect to one another through visible nodes. These nodes act as flexible connection points that determine how beams align, rotate, and support weight. By exposing or adjusting the nodes, players gain precise control over the shape and orientation of the structure they are creating. This system allows for a wide range of structural designs, from simple straight connections to more complex frameworks that balance stability and flexibility.

The playing field is divided into two sides, positioned on the left and right edges of the screen. The main challenge is to construct a continuous structure that successfully connects these two sides. Players must plan how their beams span the gap, ensuring that each segment is properly supported and correctly aligned.

Gravity plays a significant role in Builder and affects all structures in real time. Once beams are placed, they respond naturally to weight and balance, just as real metal structures would. If the construction is unstable or unevenly supported, it may bend, shift, or fall apart. This realistic physics system adds an extra layer of challenge and forces players to consider both form and function.
