Lines 98: Color Balls is a classic logic puzzle that brings the nostalgic charm of retro PC games to your screen. Inspired by the beloved color-matching games of the 1990s, this timeless challenge combines simple rules with strategic gameplay that keeps you thinking ahead. Your goal is to move colorful balls around the board, create lines of matching colors, and clear as many pieces as possible before the board fills up.

The game begins with a board containing balls in different colors and empty squares where you can move them. Select a ball by clicking on it, then choose an empty destination square to move it. However, your chosen ball can only reach its destination if there is a clear path through the board. Movement is allowed horizontally and vertically, but not diagonally, and balls cannot jump over other pieces. Planning your moves carefully is essential, especially when the board becomes crowded and fewer routes remain available.

Your main objective is to form continuous lines of at least five balls of the same color. These lines can run horizontally, vertically, or diagonally. Whenever you successfully create a qualifying line, the matching balls disappear, earning you points and opening up valuable space for future moves. Try to build longer lines whenever possible and look for opportunities to connect existing groups instead of moving balls randomly. A well-planned move can help clear the board while preparing the next combination.

Every move comes with an important decision. If your move does not create a line that clears balls, three new balls appear in randomly selected positions. These additional pieces gradually fill the board and can block useful paths, making future combinations more difficult. Keep an eye on empty spaces, anticipate where new balls might limit your options, and prioritize clearing lines before the board becomes too crowded. The game ends when there are no empty squares left, so every successful combination can make a difference to your final score.
