The series follows Cory and Topanga Matthews' daughter Riley and her best friend, Maya Hart as they navigate the challenges of life as two fun teenagers. The show also features their classmates Lucas and Farkle, and Riley's younger brother Auggie with their life. They go trought a lot of trouble together , facing tipical teenage problems and having fun always. Riley is the thirteen-year-old daughter of Cory and Topanga and the older sister of Auggie. She is the eldest child of the Matthews family, with her brother Auggie as the youngest. Her father is also her eighth grade history teacher which makes her almost all the time get embaressed. Riley's best friend is Maya Hart, and she eventually befriends Lucas Friar, whom she has a crush on and briefly dates after kissing him one time. She's good friends with Farkle Minkus, who is open about having crushes on both her and Maya, although Farkle's affection seem to be fixated on Maya more than Riley now, as he is aware of her and Lucas' interest in one another, just like a typical teenage problem. A lot of Riley's personality is taken after her father, Cory whom she loves alot. Riley is a bubbly and outgoing individual, but she sometimes encounters embarrassing moments, which are usually funny. Anyway she loves her friends and fa,illy and she is capable of doing anything for them. Ryile’s best friend is Maya, she isn't one of the best students in school, but she still looks up to Cory Matthews as a father figure. She is deeply loyal to Riley, as Riley is to her, they want to go to college together and grow old as best friend. Maya lives with her mother and Gammy Hart who do their best to take care of her and make her feel good.
