Players start their journey as amateur racers, quickly learning the ropes with the help of Mia, a racing organizer. The tutorial covers the basics, accelerating, braking, drifting, and using nitro boosts, essential skills that set the stage for more advanced competitions across a dynamic open world.

The game’s structure revolves around racing events, car upgrades, and character progression. After your first race, you’re introduced to the Garage, managed by Oliver the mechanic. This is where you’ll buy new cars, upgrade performance aspects such as nitro, speed, and handling, and store or customize your vehicles. The customization section lets you change your car’s appearance, making sure you not only race fast but look good while doing it.

Racing missions are found throughout the city using the mini-map. You’ll discover various events like CrewBattles, Quick Races, Daily Races, and Ladder Races, each offering unique challenges and rewards. CrewBattles stand out as multi-stage confrontations against named opponents like Lucas, with increasing difficulty tiers. Winning these battles is key to climbing the underground ranks and eventually becoming the king of the streets.

Progression in NSR Street Car Racing is mission-driven. Most races require you to finish first, but some add complexity, such as completing a race within a time limit, performing stunts, or drifting a set number of times. Completing bonus missions grants extra money, which is crucial for upgrading your car and staying competitive in harder races.

Finally, players can test their skills online through two modes: Online Duels, which match you with random players globally, and Online-Multiplayer, which allows you to race with friends.
