Arrows is a minimalist logic puzzle game built around direction, trajectory prediction, and precise decision-making. Every level presents a field filled with curved arrows, each pointing in a fixed direction. Your task is to carefully choose the correct sequence of moves to clear all arrows from the board within a limited number of attempts.
The core mechanic is simple but highly strategic. By tapping an arrow, you launch it in its designated direction, causing it to fly off the field and disappear. However, the challenge comes from obstruction and collision. If a moving arrow encounters another arrow in its path, it will bounce back instead of exiting the board. This not only wastes a move but also disrupts your carefully planned sequence, forcing you to rethink your strategy.
Because of this system, success in Arrows depends heavily on foresight and spatial reasoning. Players must anticipate how each arrow’s movement will affect the rest of the board, planning several steps ahead to avoid blocking paths or creating unavoidable collisions. Even a single poorly timed move can make the level significantly harder to complete. As players progress, levels become more complex, introducing denser arrangements of arrows and more intricate directional patterns.
To balance the challenge, completing levels rewards players with coins. These coins can be used to unlock magical creatures, adding a collection-based progression system to the game. Each creature emerges from a mysterious egg, providing a sense of anticipation and reward that complements the puzzle-solving experience. This layer of progression gives additional motivation beyond simply completing levels.
Controls are intuitive and designed for both desktop and mobile play. On PC, players use the left mouse button to select and launch arrows, the mouse wheel to zoom in and out, and drag controls to move the camera. On mobile devices, tapping launches arrows, pinch gestures control zoom, and dragging adjusts the view.
