Staying underwater too long will cause you to lose a life. Throughout the game, you’ll encounter doors that need to be opened by pulling levers. Collect shields, power-ups, and other bonus items to help you on your journey, making you stronger, faster, or granting special abilities. 

Start with three lives, and if you lose all of them by falling off platforms or getting hit by enemies, the game ends. Be strategic to conserve your lives.
