Sturmgrad is a tactical strategy game set in a world where Streltsy armies and Livonian knights battle for control of vast hexagonal territories. Each match unfolds across a dynamic landscape shaped by shifting objectives, a day-night cycle, and steadily increasing difficulty. You begin with one or several towers, which serve as the foundation of your army.
These structures generate troops over time and act as the core of your strategic decisions. From these starting points, you must expand your influence by capturing new towers, reinforcing your defenses, and allocating units with care. Success requires thoughtful planning, because every action affects your long-term chances of victory. Sending troops from one tower to another helps you advance across the map, but doing so leaves your original position vulnerable.
Managing this balance is crucial: overextending your forces can quickly turn advantage into defeat, while cautious, well-timed attacks can break through even strong enemy defenses. Captured towers become part of your network, allowing you to generate more soldiers, strengthen your formation, and set up new attack routes.
Upgrading towers plays a key role as well. An upgraded tower produces units faster and resists enemy assaults more effectively, making it an essential element of your territory. Deciding which towers to upgrade and when,adds another layer of strategic depth. Meanwhile, the day–night cycle influences the pace of battle: daytime favors offensive maneuvers, while nighttime encourages players to fortify their defenses and prepare for future pushes.
Victory in Sturmgrad comes from capturing every tower on the map, but brute force alone is never enough. Players must think several steps ahead, adapt to new threats, and manage limited time and resources wisely. Each match is a test of tactical judgment, rewarding those who can balance aggression with defense and long-term planning with decisive action.
