Block Waves: Night of the Dead is an intense first-person survival shooter where endless darkness brings increasingly dangerous waves of blocky monsters. Fight to stay alive across procedurally generated environments, including open plains, dense forests, scorching deserts, snowy fields, and desolate wastelands. Every defeated enemy brings you closer to a stronger arsenal, but each new wave presents a greater threat. Your mission is simple: survive as long as possible, eliminate every incoming monster, and prove how far you can push your limits in a world where the night never ends.
Combat is fast-paced and requires more than simply holding down the fire button. Aim carefully, keep moving, and use your surroundings to avoid being overwhelmed by approaching enemies. Defeated monsters drop coins that you can collect and spend on a huge selection of weapons.
Choose from pistols, shotguns, rifles, a minigun, a katana, electric weapons, and powerful heavy launchers. You can build a loadout containing five weapons, allowing you to switch between different combat styles depending on the enemies you encounter. Survival becomes more challenging as the waves progress. Powerful bosses appear every few waves, bringing tougher encounters that test your weapons and combat skills.
You can also encounter curses that change the rules of a battle and introduce unexpected complications. To improve your chances, choose powerful perks, throw grenades into groups of enemies, and place barricades to help defend your position. Learning when to attack, retreat, reload, or use special equipment can make the difference between surviving another wave and losing your run.
The desktop controls give you everything you need to manage the battlefield. Use WASD to move, the mouse to aim and fire, Space to jump, and Shift to sprint. Press R to reload your weapon, Q to throw grenades, and F to place barricades. Switch between your five equipped weapons using the number keys 1–5. Defeat monsters, collect their coins, improve your equipment, and prepare for the next incoming horde. How many waves can you survive before the night finally catches up with you?
