As you guide Playster through each level, you’ll face two primary types of obstacles. Triangles are deadly no matter what, touch one, and it’s game over. Blocks and other rectangular shapes might look safer, but they’re only helpful when you land on top of them. Bump into them from the side or above, and you’ll still lose the round. The geometry of the game is relentless, and you’ll need to time each jump precisely to stay alive.
The longer you stay in the game, the faster the course moves. This means that keeping a steady rhythm and anticipating what's ahead is key. Stars appear along the way, collect them to spend in the in-game shop, where you can unlock new characters. Score points based on how far you run before crashing, and challenge yourself to beat your personal best every time.
The in-game shop adds a fun customization element. For 50 stars each, you can unlock skins to play as Mario, Sonic, Pikachu, Steve from Minecraft, Naruto, and many more! There are 20 different character skins to collect in total, adding variety and motivation to keep dashing and collecting those stars.
Besides the fun and challenge, Playster in Geometry Dash helps sharpen your reaction time and hand-eye coordination.
